Why Invisalign

Sure, there are other options out there for straightening your teeth, but none offers the level of comfort, convenience and confidence that you’ll find with Invisalign®. And no matter what stage you’re at in life, you’ll appreciate how our cutting-edge approach to treatment has minimal interference in how you live, but has a significant positive impact on how you look and feel about yourself.

Health Benefits of Straight Teeth

You may be surprised to know that the benefits of having properly aligned teeth extend far beyond a confident smile. According to the American Dental Association, straightening your teeth can actually significantly affect your overall dental health.1 Think about it — a smile can hardly be perfect if it’s not a healthy one. Fortunately, with Invisalign®, having a confident smile and reducing your risk for tooth decay and gum disease go hand in hand.

Healthier Teeth and Gums

Swollen, red gums can often be the result of having teeth that are crowded or too widely spaced. Unfortunately, these are also signs of periodontal disease. When teeth are properly aligned, it helps the gums fit more securely around the teeth, allowing for the strongest and healthiest defense against potential periodontal problems. That’s where Invisalign comes in. The comfortable and clear aligners gently and gradually begin to move your teeth into the proper position — without unsightly brackets and wires.

Easier Cleaning

One of the biggest challenges of having braces is removing all the food that gets trapped in the brackets and wires. This can often lead to plaque buildup and eventually tooth decay. With Invisalign, the aligners are removable, so it’s easy to continue brushing and flossing your teeth the way you normally do.

Overall Health

Think of your teeth as a window to the health of your body. Your teeth and gums — and how they look to others when you smile—say a lot about your overall health. If you’re taking good care of both, you’re probably taking good care of the rest of you.

Tooth decay and gum disease are caused by bacteria. Left untreated, they can cause mouth sores, tender or bleeding gums, bad breath, and possible tooth loss. Studies by the American Dental Association have shown that oral infections can also lead to other more serious ailments such as heart disease,2 stroke,3 pneumonia4 and diabetes5. Invisalign aligners make daily oral hygiene easier, thus reducing the risk of possible problems. And correctly aligned teeth can also alleviate the issues that can be caused by an improper bite, speech or chewing difficulties, jaw problems, and increased wear on the tooth enamel. Invisalign effectively addresses all of these orthodontic issues, so you’ll have the confidence of a great smile and increase the likelihood of improved oral health.

The Advantages Over Braces

While the end results may appear the same — a confident, beautiful smile — when you stop and actually compare Invisalign® to other teeth-straightening options, the advantages become quite apparent. Knowing the pros and cons of each option ahead of time will help you make a more confident decision.

Traditional Braces

With regular braces, you may experience some or all of the following: pain, discomfort, mouth sores or injuries caused by the brace wires, tooth decay (from inadequate brushing and flossing), plaque buildup, tooth discoloration, tooth/bracket breakage, or difficulty eating. As if that weren’t enough, there are also the personal sacrifices — popcorn, chips, bagels, hard-crusted bread, pizza crust, pretzel, nuts, certain candies…plus apples, carrots, corn on the cob, and more.

Veneers and Similar Treatments

Many patients have asked about the benefits of veneers when compared to Invisalign. While veneers are certainly an option for improving your smile, they only cover up certain dental imperfections, rather than correct them. This means that some existing periodontal problems could still remain. Applied to the front side of the teeth only, veneers also require the removal of the surface enamel of each tooth — an irreversible procedure. Often considered a quick fix, veneers typically need to be replaced every 5 to 10 years — this can become very expensive in the long run. Coffee, tea and red wine need to be avoided to prevent discoloration, and care must be taken to prevent chipping or breaking the veneer. So while the surface look of the teeth may improve with veneers, the underlying tooth and gum problems could still exist.

Of course, there’s always the option of not seeking treatment at all. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but do keep in mind that, if left untreated, many orthodontic issues can often lead to more serious dental and health issues. Click here to learn more about the health benefits of straighter teeth and a proper bite.

Comfort & Convenience

Making the decision to straighten your teeth is much easier when you know that Invisalign® is flexible enough to let you live your life the way you want to. With Invisalign, you don’t need to worry about the gum and mouth irritation other teeth-straightening methods can cause.

With Invisalign, the aligner trays are not only smooth and comfortable to wear, but they’re also removable. That means you can continue doing all the things you normally would, from brushing and flossing, to eating whatever you like. With other devices, brushing and flossing properly can often take up to 30 minutes!

Special occasion coming up? No problem — just take your aligners out for that time and pop them back in when you’re ready. Of course, even when you’re wearing them, most people won’t even know you’re going through treatment, because they are virtually invisible!

Invisalign is also ideal for your busy schedule, with fewer doctor visits required (approximately every six weeks).

Invisalign FAQS

What Is Invisalign and How Does It Work?
What are aligners made of, and what do they look like?

The virtually invisible aligners, which are made of a thermoplastic material uniquely developed for the Invisalign treatment plan, look similar to teeth-whitening trays. A series of Invisalign aligners are custom-made for you, to move your teeth in the sequence determined by your doctor.

How do the aligners straighten teeth?

Over the course of treatment, you will be supplied with a series of aligners. Each aligner will make slight adjustments to tooth position, a process that is mapped out in advance by your doctor, specifically for your situation. When the aligners are placed on the teeth, they cause the teeth to gradually shift from their current position. After approximately two weeks, you will begin using the next set of aligners, which will continue the teeth straightening process.

How will Invisalign effectively move my teeth?

Through the use of our patented thermoplastic design, Invisalign aligners move your teeth through the appropriate placement of controlled force. The main difference is that Invisalign not only controls the force, but also the timing of the force application. During each stage, only certain teeth are allowed to move. These movements are determined by your doctor as he or she maps out your unique Invisalign treatment plan.

What are the primary benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible. No one may even notice that you’re wearing them, making Invisalign a seamless fit with your lifestyle. Invisalign aligners are removable. For the best results and a timely outcome, aligners should be worn for 20 to 22 hours per day. However, unlike with braces, you have the flexibility to remove your aligners to eat and drink what you want during treatment. And you can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would, for fresh breath and good oral hygiene. There are no metal brackets or wires that could cause irritation to your mouth, an advantage over traditional braces. Plus, since your office visits during treatment don’t involve metal or wire adjustments, you’ll likely spend less time in the doctor’s chair. Invisalign allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you start so you can see how your straightened teeth will look when your treatment is complete. Instead of imagining how much better it can be, you’ll be able to see it for yourself.

What Is the Treatment Process?
How long will treatment take?

The length of treatment depends on the severity of your case and can only be determined by your doctor; however, the average case takes about 12 months for adults. The length of time necessary for a teen patient may vary and can be determined by your doctor.

How do I get started with Invisalign?

It’s simple — first take our Smile Assessment to see if Invisalign is right for you. Next make an appointment with an Invisalign Provider. Many doctors offer free initial consultations. For the best experience, take the time to find the “right” doctor, one whom you feel comfortable with, and who has experience treating cases like yours. As with other important medical decisions, sometimes it is worthwhile to seek out a second or even third opinion. Use our Find A Doctor feature to find the most experienced Invisalign-trained Preferred Provider near you. Make sure you trust your smile to an experienced doctor who uses the latest techniques.

Can I go to any dentist to be treated with Invisalign?

All dentists interested in treating patients with Invisalign must attend and complete specialized instructional sessions to become trained Invisalign Providers. In addition, doctors must regularly submit treatment results for review and complete ongoing clinical training classes to earn the designation “Preferred Provider.” Use our Find A Doctor feature to find the most experienced Invisalign Provider near you. Doctors designated as Premier Preferred Providers have a greater level of case experience. Those labeled Elite Preferred Provider have the highest level of case experience.

How often must I wear my aligners?

We find that aligners are most effective when worn 20 to 22 hours per day and removed only for eating, brushing and flossing.

How often must I see my Invisalign doctor?

Your doctor will schedule regular appointments usually about once every four to six weeks. The goal of these visits is to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

My provider mentioned “attachments”. What are they and why would I need them for my Invisalign treatment?
Depending on your specific treatment, some of the movements may require either “attachments” or “ridges” to help the aligner grip the teeth. These bumps, or wells, are where the aligner grips the attachment the doctor places on your teeth. The attachments are actually small pieces of enamel-colored composite the doctor affixes to your teeth that are then gripped by bumps on your aligners. The ridges are slim indentations in your aligners. Your doctor will use one or both of these features to attempt to achieve the desired tooth movement.

How Will It Affect My Life?

Will Invisalign treatment be painful?

While Invisalign moves your teeth without the pain and anxiety metal braces can cause, some people experience temporary discomfort for a few days at the beginning of each new stage of treatment. This is normal and is typically described as a feeling of pressure. It’s also a sign that Invisalign is working, as it moves your teeth to their final destination. This discomfort typically goes away in a couple of days.

How long will treatment take?

The length of treatment depends on the severity of your case and can only be determined by your doctor; however, the average case takes about 12 months for adults. The length of time necessary for a teen patient may vary and can be determined by your doctor.

Can I just wear the aligners while I sleep?

No. The aligners must be in place a minimum of 20 to 22 hours a day for the treatment to be effective.

Will wearing Invisalign aligners affect my speech?

Similar to other orthodontic treatments, Invisalign aligners may temporarily affect the speech of some people, and you may have a slight lisp for a day or two. However, as your tongue gets used to having aligners in your mouth, any lisp caused by the aligners should disappear.

Are there restrictions as to what I can eat while in treatment?

No. Thanks to the removable nature of the aligners, you can eat and drink whatever you want while in treatment. In fact, you’re required to remove your aligners to eat and drink. So, unlike when undergoing traditional treatment using wires and brackets, there is no need to restrict your consumption of any of your favorite foods and snacks unless you are instructed otherwise by your doctor. Also, it is important that you brush your teeth after each meal and prior to reinserting your aligners to maintain fresh breath and proper hygiene.

Will smoking stain the aligners?

We discourage smoking while wearing aligners because it is possible for the aligners to become discolored.

Can I drink alcohol with the aligners in?

Because of the high sugar content in alcohol, a moderate amount would be fine to consume, as long as care is taken to clean the teeth and the aligners soon after so as not to trap sugar between them. The same applies for any sugary beverage.

Can I chew gum while wearing aligners?

No, gum will stick to the aligners. We recommend removing your aligners for all meals and snacks.

Can the aligners slip off while I’m asleep?

It is very unlikely that your aligners would ever fall out, no matter what you were doing at the time: sleeping, talking, laughing, etc. The aligners are designed to fit firmly on the teeth, so this should not be a cause for concern.

Why should I feel confident about Invisalign?
How many patients have been treated with Invisalign?

More than 2 million patients worldwide have been treated with Invisalign. The number of Invisalign smiles grows daily.

Do Invisalign aligners contain Bisphenol-A (BPA)?

No. Invisalign aligners and Vivera Retainers do not contain Bisphenol-A or phthalate plasticizers. These aligners and retainers are made with USP Class VI medical-grade, high molecular weight, polyurethane resins. Tests have been conducted to determine the biocompatibility of these materials, and show that they are biocompatible and pass all applicable regulatory requirements and thresholds for human wear in the mouth. Of course, as with any medical device, you should consult with your health professional about your aligner or retainer treatment and any applicable risks of use.

How old is the company?

Align Technology, Inc., the company that manufactures Invisalign, was founded in 1997.

Has the FDA cleared Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are classified as Class II medical devices by the FDA, and Align Technology, Inc., received the necessary 510K clearance from the FDA to be able to sell and market the Invisalign system in 1998.

What is the minimum age of a patient that a doctor can treat with Invisalign?

Invisalign Teen is appropriate for patients who have shed all of their baby teeth and have second molars at least partially erupted– this includes most teens. Ask your orthodontist if you qualify to start treatment now.

How Do I Take Care of My Aligners?
What’s the best way to clean my aligners?

The best way to clean your aligners is to use the Invisalign Cleaning system, available for order at www.invisalignstore.com. As a secondary method, however, your aligners can also be cleaned by brushing them and rinsing them in lukewarm water.

What Happens After Treatment Is Completed?
What happens after treatment to prevent my teeth from moving again?

This varies from person to person and depends on the outcome of the treatment. Some patients might need a positioner, or conventional retainer. Other patients might need a clear plastic retainer similar to the ones Invisalign makes, such as Align Technology’s Vivera Retainer, which is worn at night. Discuss this with your dentist. Every patient is different, and outcomes vary.

What if I’ve had braces, or have other special dental conditions?
I am currently wearing braces. Can I make the switch to Invisalign?

Doctors are treating a significant number of patients with a combination of braces and Invisalign. Consult your Invisalign doctor to determine the best treatment for you.

Since having my braces removed, my teeth have shifted. Can Invisalign fix this?

A number of Invisalign patients have undergone a previous treatment involving braces at some point in their past, often during their youth. Adults can usually have the shifting that occurs after braces corrected, without having to go through the trauma and social awkwardness of wearing metal braces.

I currently have veneers. Will Invisalign aligners work with them?

Please consult with your Invisalign Provider about any special orthodontic cases, such as veneers.

I currently have bridgework on several teeth. Will Invisalign still work?

Because bridgework involves the connection of a tooth to surrounding teeth, it would be difficult for the aligners to work effectively. The aligners are designed to move each tooth separately, following the exact movements that your orthodontist will map out for you when creating your custom-made aligners.

What Are the Costs and Payment Options?
How much does Invisalign cost?

We know cost is a big question for anyone considering orthodontic work. In most cases, Invisalign treatment is comparable to the cost of traditional braces. However, as with other medical treatments, only your doctor can determine the cost, based on your specific needs. Other factors may include your treatment goals, the difficulty of your case, how long you are in treatment, where you live, your orthodontic insurance coverage, and additional factors determined by your dentist or orthodontist. In the U.S., the cost of Invisalign treatment ranges from $3,500 to $8,000, with the national average at about $5,000.

Will my insurance cover Invisalign?

Because medical benefits differ significantly from policy to policy, you should review your personal coverage plan. However, in general, if a patient has orthodontic coverage, Invisalign should be covered to the same extent as conventional braces.

What payment options are available for Invisalign?

Most doctors will help you find options to make your treatment affordable. Many offices offer flexible and affordable monthly payment plans. Many doctors also offer financing through CareCredit. Specifically designed for health-care expenses, CareCredit is a third-party patient financing program that makes it easier for you to get the treatment or procedures you want and need.

Sometimes when I remove my aligners, my teeth feel loose. Is that common?

Yes. As your aligners gradually shift your teeth into their proper position, your gums are re-forming around each tooth as it moves. Once your treatment is complete and your teeth are evenly spaced, your gums will adhere snugly to the teeth in their new positions.

How Will It Affect My Life?

I went on a trip and forgot to take my aligners with me. Will my aligners still fit?

The answer depends on how long you’ve gone without wearing them. If for a short period of time, the aligners should still be able to fit over your teeth. You might feel slight discomfort as your teeth readjust to the aligners. If the lapse in time is significant, please consult your Invisalign Provider. He or she will be best prepared to respond to your unique situation.

If I have food residue (like blueberries or pasta sauce) in my mouth when I put my aligners back in, can they become stained?

Yes. That’s why it’s important to brush after every meal, before placing the aligners back in your mouth.

I dropped my aligners in an unsanitary place. Do I need to sterilize them after I clean them?

It is very important to always ensure your aligners are clean and hygienic before placing them in your mouth. That’s why Invisalign offers its Cleaning System with special Cleaning Crystals. They keep your aligners clean, hygienic and clear. And as an added bonus, the Cleaning Crystals also quickly remove plaque, in as little as 15 minutes. Please do not use hot water at any time on your aligners as this may cause irreparable warping of the plastic.

One of my aligners has cracked. What should I do?

Please contact your Invisalign Provider. A cracked aligner will not be able to provide the necessary amount of pressure for proper tooth movement, so the aligner will need to be replaced. You should act on this as soon as possible so as not to cause your teeth to shift back into their old position while a replacement aligner is created for you.

What Happens After Treatment?
What happens after treatment to prevent my teeth from moving again?

This varies from person to person and depends on the outcome of the treatment. Some patients might need a positioner, or conventional retainer. Every patient is different, and outcomes vary.

When I’m done with treatment, can I get Invisalign retainers for both my upper and lower teeth?

Your doctor will determine if you need any post-treatment retainers, and if they are needed for both upper and lower teeth.

Invisalign Vivera Retainers

From the makers of Invisalign

Congratulations on your beautiful and confident smile! Don’t let one lost retainer ruin all of the time, effort and money you invested in your smile!

Vivera® retainers are made from the makers of Invisalign®. Whether you’ve used Invisalign or traditional wire braces, you can benefit from Vivera retainers.

Vivera Retainers are a great option to consider if you are going to college or moving out of state!

With Vivera Retainers, you receive the following:

  • 4 sets of upper clear retainers
4 sets of lower clear retainers
    1 Vivera retainer case

With Vivera Retainers:

  • NO GOOEY MOLDS ARE NEEDED! A digital light scanner is used so your retainers will fit perfectly.
  • You will have 3 back up sets of top and bottom retainers so you do not have to worry about rushing to an orthodontist to get a 2nd set of retainers if you lose your retainer. Getting retainers from a new orthodontist can be considerably more expensive than getting them with your treating orthodontist. You could end up spending more money on 1 extra set of retainers than the cost of the 4 sets of retainers you receive with Vivera.

Importance of Retainers

Studies show that without retainers straight teeth can gradually shift back towards their initial position. This is a common occurrence with all orthodontic treatment, but is one that can easily be overcome by wearing your retainers after traditional braces or Invisalign treatment. This will keep your teeth in their optimal positions and protect your smile and investment.

Why Choose Vivera Retainers

Vivera retainers are custom made for you with the same state-of-the-art technology used to make Invisalign aligners. Because the retainers are custom made from a scan of your teeth, you will benefit from a more precise and comfortable fit.

Vivera’s proprietary material is 30% stronger than leading clear retainer materials, which helps maintain your teeth in their desired position. It also reduces the risk of the retainer cracking or breaking, providing you with a more durable retainer that you can count on.

How to Get Vivera Retainers

Tell Dr. C that you are interested in purchasing Vivera retainers.

  • Steps in Getting Vivera Retainers
  • Dr. C will evaluate your teeth.
  • A digital scan will be taken.
  • Retainers will be custom made to the digital scan of your teeth.
  • An appointment will be made to give you your Vivera retainers and case.

How Invisalign Works

Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.

Treatment Process

You may be somewhat familiar with how the Invisalign® treatment works, but we’d like to take you through each step of the treatment process, from consultation to confident smile. Whether you’re considering treatment for yourself or someone else, knowing more about the entire process can help you be more confident in your decision to choose Invisalign and enjoy a better smile every day.

Talk to an Invisalign Provider

Your treatment begins after you select the experienced Invisalign Preferred Provider that you feel most comfortable with and schedule your initial consultation. Because you will be interacting with this doctor on a regular basis, you may even want to personally meet with a few providers before deciding which one is right for you. This is an important medical and financial decision. That’s why choosing the right doctor and the right treatment plan is so essential. Keep in mind that not all dentists and orthodontists work with Invisalign, so it’s important to find a doctor who has received the proper Invisalign training and can truly evaluate your needs and determine how Invisalign can help you.

During the consultation, you and your doctor will discuss your case in detail to determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign. Invisalign now addresses many cases, from simple to more complex. Your doctor will determine if Invisalign is right for you. (Take the Smile Assessmentahead of time to see if you might be a good candidate.) This will also be your opportunity to ask any questions about Invisalign, costs , dental/orthodontic insurance, or any other concerns. See which doctors in your area are Invisalign Providers.

A Customized Treatment Plan is Created for You

Your doctor will take x-rays, pictures and impressions of your teeth, which Invisalign will use to create a digital 3-D image of them. From these images your doctor will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth, and tell you the approximate length of treatment. Using the same technology your doctor will be able to show you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move with each stage of treatment. While every case is unique to each patient, treatment typically takes approximately a year for adults. For teens the length of treatments is comparable to that of braces.

Receive Your Custom Aligners Based On Your Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on your individual treatment plan, a series of custom-made, clear aligners is then created specifically for you. These aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic that won’t irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces often do. Simply wear them throughout the day, and remove them when you eat or to brush and floss your teeth. As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth gently and gradually begin to shift into place. And because they’re virtually invisible, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

Wear a New Aligner Every Two Weeks

Approximately every two weeks, you will begin wearing a new set of aligners, advancing you to the next stage of your treatment. To monitor your progress, you will also have occasional checkups with your doctor, usually only every six weeks or so. For best results and a timely outcome, you should wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day, throughout your entire treatment. At every stage, you will be able to see how much closer you are to having the smile that reflects the real you.

Treatable Cases

From mild cases of crooked teeth and protruding teeth, to much more difficult dental problems involving serious malocclusion, overbite, or underbite, Invisalign® effectively corrects a wide variety of dental problems. Whether your teeth are widely gapped, overly crowded or somewhere in between, Invisalign has an affordable teeth straightening option for you.

Take a look at our Invisalign Actual Results; you’ll find relevant before-and-after pictures of some real Invisalign patients. You’ll see for yourself the cosmetic improvement-but the more important aspect is that fixing common teeth problems can potentially have positive benefits for your dental health as well as overall health. Take a moment to watch this video about the negative effects crooked teeth can have on your oral health.

Were also continually making new advancements in our products and treatment process for even better clinical results. Most recently, the addition of Precision Cuts allows our aligners to now accommodate the use of elastics. As a result, more severe bite issues can be corrected effectively.

Here are some of the main conditions Invisalign currently treats. But if there is a specific dental problem that you do not see addressed here, please contact your Invisalign Provider for more information to see if Invisalign is right for you.

Gapped Teeth

Gaps between teeth can occur with abnormal continued growth of the jawbone. Missing teeth can also cause the surrounding teeth to shift due to the extra space, creating gaps in your teeth. Spacing issues and gaps between teeth can lead to gum problems (due to lack of protection by the teeth), periodontal pockets and increased risk of periodontal disease.

Overbite

What people commonly refer to as an “overbite” is known to dental professionals as “overjet.” It occurs when the upper teeth bite over the lower teeth. It’s typically caused by genetics, bad oral habits, or overdevelopment of the bone that supports the teeth. This can lead to gum problems or irritation, and/or wear on the lower teeth, and can cause painful jaw and joint problems.

Underbite

Underbite can occur when the lower teeth protrude past the front teeth. It’s usually caused by undergrowth of the upper jaw, overgrowth of the lower jaw, or both. It can also be caused by missing upper teeth. This can prevent the normal function of front teeth or molars, which can lead to tooth wear. It can also cause painful jaw and joint problems.

Open Bite

Open bite often occurs when some teeth are unable to make physical contact with the opposing teeth for a proper bite. Most often caused by a genetic abnormal jaw structure or excessive thumb-sucking, an open bite can cause poor or painful chewing, and even speech impairment. It can also lead to greater issues like thermo-mandibular joint disorder (TMJ).

Overly Crowded

Teeth crowding occurs when there is simply a lack of room within your jaw for all of your teeth to fit normally. When left untreated, overly crowded teeth can get worse over time, and result in severely crooked teeth. This crowding can lead to plaque accumulation, tooth decay and an increased chance of gum disease.

Crossbite

Crossbite can occur when the upper and lower jaws are both misaligned. It causes one or more upper teeth to bite on the inside of the lower teeth, and can happen on both the front and the sides of the mouth. This can cause wear of the teeth, gum disease and bone loss.

Living with Invisalign

One of the best things about Invisalign® is the minimal impact it has on your everyday life. Since the aligners are so comfortable, you should be able to wear them for the recommended 20 to 22 hours a day without much effort. Here are some comments from patients going through treatment:

The aligners are easily removable, so you can continue to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would. Cleaning your aligners is just as easy with the Invisalign cleaning kit. Or you can simply brush and rinse them in lukewarm water. That’s it! Achieving that great smile couldn’t be easier!

“I’m usually pressed for time in the mornings, and I appreciate how Invisalign doesn’t slow me down. I just pop out the aligners, brush my teeth and pop ’em back in.”

Amy—Irvine, CA

You’ll also remove the aligners each time you eat. This means you can continue to eat all the foods you love without any restrictions or worrying about food getting stuck in your wires and brackets. With other teeth-straightening methods, the simple act of eating can often be troublesome.

“I love how I can pretty much eat whatever I want and not have to worry about whether it’s going to damage anything during my treatment.”

Carl—Fort Worth, TX

For those who are active in contact sports, Invisalign allows you to continue wearing your aligners without having to worry about any sharp brackets cutting your mouth. If your sport requires wearing a protective mouthguard, simply remove your aligners and you’re good to go!

“Soccer is my life, which means there’s a lot of contact. Wearing braces would definitely make me a little hesitant to go all out”

Teri—Boston, MA

Your bedtime routine can continue as before, with the simple addition of cleaning your aligners. You won’t be struggling with trying to floss and brush in between brackets and wires, which can be time-consuming.

“I don’t think I’d have the patience to keep braces clean especially having to floss between all those wires. With Invisalign, I just take out my aligners, brush and floss my teeth, quickly brush my aligners and I’m done.”

Jeff—Bellevue, WA

How Do I Get Invisalign?

Steps to Straight Teeth

Choosing Invisalign® is an important decision worthy of careful consideration. Before you even begin treatment, we suggest you take the time to follow these five steps. The more time and thought you put into making your decision, the more confident you’ll feel that Invisalign is the right choice.

Take the Smile Assessment

This first step is a quick and easy way to gauge whether or not Invisalign will fit your needs. Once completed, you’ll receive detailed results on whether or not you’re a candidate, based on the answers you provided. The best part is that it’s free and can be taken in just a few minutes by clicking here. If you’ve already taken the Smile Assessment and have determined that Invisalign is right for you, you’re ready to move on to Step 2.

Contact Us for An Appointment

We have locations that are convenient to the entire Las Vegas valley. Contact us today and we can make an appointment for you at our North Las Vegas office, or our Summerlin office.

Begin Treatment

Now that you’ve chosen your doctor, he or she will be able to answer any additional questions you may have before starting treatment. At this stage, your doctor will map out a detailed treatment plan with your goals in mind. An exciting part of Invisalign’s technology is that, once your doctor takes impressions and molds of your teeth, he’ll be able to show you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move during treatment. You can learn more about the entire treatment process by visiting the Invisalign Treatment Process page.

Invisalign Teen® helps your teen focus on accomplishing the things they want in life, with fewer interruptions.
